Casino Tips: Bankroll, RTP and Bonus Maths

Illustration for the casino tips page

This page collects general casino maths and habits that apply at any site, with notes on where Oddze's own rules (checked on 3 October 2026) change the picture. None of it improves the odds of a game; it changes how long your money lasts and how well you understand what you agreed to.

Set the budget before the first deposit

Your bankroll is money you have already accepted losing for entertainment. Decide it before you open the cashier, not after a losing session.

  • Session budget: split the monthly amount into sessions and stop when one session's amount is gone.
  • Stake size: a common rule of thumb is 1–2% of the session budget per spin or hand, so that normal swings do not end the session in minutes.
  • Time limit: decide when you will stop, and keep a simple record of deposits and withdrawals.
  • Use the operator's tools: Oddze lists deposit, loss and wager limits (daily, weekly or monthly), session limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion. Increases to a limit only take effect after 24 hours, which is the point.

Choose games by RTP and volatility

RTP (return to player) is the long-run share of stakes a game pays back. A 96% slot keeps on average 4 of every 100 units staked; the other side of that number is the house edge. Volatility describes how the return is distributed: low-volatility games pay small wins often, high-volatility games pay rarely but more. With the same RTP, high volatility means bigger swings and a greater chance of losing a small budget quickly.

RTP is published inside most games' information screens. Oddze itself publishes no RTP figures or test reports, so check the game's own info panel. Some providers release the same slot in several RTP versions, and the casino chooses which one to run.

What speed does to your losses

The expected loss per hour is stake × spins per hour × house edge. At 1 USD per spin, 600 spins an hour and a 4% edge, that is about 24 USD per hour on average. Turbo or autoplay at 1,000 spins an hour raises it to about 40 USD, with the same game and the same stake.

Work out what a bonus really costs

Before accepting a bonus, multiply: bonus × wagering = turnover you must bet. Turnover × house edge = expected cost. Example with Oddze's welcome rules (40x the bonus): a 100 USD bonus means 4,000 USD of bets within 7 days; at a 4% edge the expected cost is about 160 USD. Add the rules that limit how you play:

  • Maximum bet while a bonus is active: 5 USD at Oddze. Higher bets can void the bonus.
  • Game weighting: at Oddze roulette counts 0% and card, poker and casual games 5%, so in practice the wagering has to be done on slots.
  • Time limit: 7 days for the welcome bonuses.
  • Which offer applies: Oddze shows two different welcome packages; screenshot the one you were shown before depositing.

Declining a bonus is a valid choice. Because Oddze's bonuses are non-sticky, your real money is used first and you can cancel the bonus at any time.

Table games: rules matter more than systems

Betting systems such as Martingale do not change the house edge; they only change the shape of losses, trading frequent small wins for rare large losses that hit the table maximum. What does change the edge is the rule set: single-zero roulette (2.7% edge) instead of double-zero (5.26%), blackjack that pays 3:2 instead of 6:5, and basic strategy in blackjack. Note that Oddze treats roulette betting that covers 25 or more of 37 numbers as advantage play under Terms 9.3.

Before the first withdrawal

  • Complete verification early: passport or ID and proof of address, in Latin or Cyrillic script.
  • Wager each deposit at least once, or a processing fee may apply (Oddze Terms 9.7).
  • Plan for the 72 hours stated in the terms, not the "instant" label in the cashier, and for the 10,000 EUR daily maximum.
  • Withdraw to a method in your own name; third-party payments are not allowed.

Account security

  • Use a unique password and turn on two-factor authentication (available on the Oddze platform).
  • Type the casino address yourself (www.oddze.com) rather than following unknown links; Oddze publishes no mirror domains.
  • Never share login details; one account per person and household is the rule.

Know when to stop

Warning signs: spending more money or time than planned, chasing losses, borrowing to gamble, hiding it from others, feeling restless when trying to cut back. If you recognise them, use a cooling-off period or self-exclusion and talk to a support service such as GamCare, Gamblers Anonymous or Gambling Therapy. Gambling is entertainment that costs money, never a way to earn it.
